Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 22, 2026
This page is maintained by FotoMeo to answer common privacy and data-handling questions about the FotoMeo service. It describes the controls and practices that are visible in the app today. It is not a certification, legal opinion, or independent verification of FotoMeo's hosting providers.
1. What FotoMeo collects
We collect the information you provide when you create an account, build albums, upload photos, invite collaborators, or contact us. This includes your email address, album names, uploaded images, and any descriptions or text you add to albums.
2. Authentication
You can sign in with an email address and password or with Google OAuth. When you use Google sign-in, Google shares your name, email address, and profile information with us according to Google's privacy policy and the permissions you approve.
3. How we use your information
We use your data to operate the service, including storing and displaying your albums, sending invitations and transactional emails, processing payments, and keeping your account secure. We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.
4. Sharing and collaborators
You control who can view or edit each album. When you invite a collaborator, we share the album and its contents with that person. You are responsible for choosing the right people and the right access level for each album.
5. Subprocessors and service providers
FotoMeo relies on a small number of service providers to run the app. The current subprocessors are:
- Lovable / Supabase — hosting, database, storage, authentication, and backend infrastructure.
- Google — OAuth sign-in and cloud services.
- Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions.
- Resend / SendGrid — delivery of transactional and invitation emails.
6. Cookies and analytics
FotoMeo uses essential cookies to keep you signed in and to maintain your session. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising cookies. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings.
7. Data retention and deletion
Photos and albums are deleted immediately when you delete them from your account or when you delete your account. Some account metadata, such as billing records for paid subscriptions, may be kept for the legally required period.
8. Your choices and rights
You can access, edit, or delete your albums and account at any time from within the app. To request deletion of your account or to ask questions about your data, contact us at the address below.
9. Security
FotoMeo uses standard security measures such as HTTPS, authentication, and row-level access controls in the database. Hosting security and infrastructure are provided by Lovable / Supabase. Security is a shared responsibility: you should keep your password safe, use strong credentials, and only invite collaborators you trust.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when the current version was published. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
11. Contact
